Surveying Bradley International Airport’s Main Runway

Recently, MCA completed a survey of Runway 6-24 at Bradley International Airport as part of a runway reconstruction project. The limits of the survey included the entire length and width of runway 6-24, extending 75’ off the edge of pavement on both sides. As part of the project, the runway surface portion was scanned using a vehicle-mounted LiDAR system, saving a significant amount of field time and reducing disruptions to airport operations.
